Ordering Procedure

Ordering from the Staats website is easy. Follow the procedure below for ease in ordering.

  • 1. Locate the item you wish to order.
  • 2. Enter the quantity of the item you wish to order.
  • 3. Select any product options if applicable.
  • 4. If applicable, enter engraving or imprint information in the area provided.
  • 5. Click on "Add to Cart".
  • 6. Repeat this process until you have selected all of the items you wish to order.
  • 7. Once you have completed entering all of the products you wish to order, from anywhere in the site, select "View Cart".
  • 8. Review your shopping cart to be sure all of the items and quantities listed are what you would like to order. Remove any items you do not want to order, or change the quantities for the products you wish to order. If you would like to add items to your cart, click on "Continue Shopping" and you will return to the item you last viewed. Repeat this process until your cart is correct.
  • 9. Click on "Check Out". If you have not already done so, you will be asked to login or create a new account.
  • 10. Review the displayed shipping address and change it if necessary. Select your preferred shipping method. Add comments or special instructions about your order in the box provided if necessary. Click "Continue".
  • 11. Enter your credit card number and expiration date. Click "Continue".
  • 12. Review the information on the Order Confirmation page to ensure accuracy of your order. If there is an error, click Back on your browser and fix any errors. If everything is correct, click "Confirm Order". You will receive a confirming order via email once your order and credit card information is processed. If you do not receive a confirming email within 24 hours, contact us at sales@staatsawards.com.

Alternate Order Methods

Any of the items shown online, as well as many that are not, may be purchased via phone, fax, mail, or email if you prefer. If you are interested in additional items that Staats may offer, contact Customer Service for additional information.

Changes/Addition to Orders

It is very important for you to check over all of the information in the shopping cart and throughout the checkout process to ensure accuracy. Due to our fast processing times, we are unable to make changes to any order that has already been processed. Changes or additions to any order that has been processed will be considered a new order.

Alternate Payment Methods

If you would like to set up an open account with Staats, you must make a request with our Customer Service Department. We will review your credit history and place you on the appropriate credit terms and credit limit. All orders on open account must be submitted through Customer Service.

Credit Card Policy

Once you click on "Confirm Order", your order will be processed and your credit card will be charged. This is why it is very important for you to check over all of the information in the shopping cart and throughout the checkout process to ensure accuracy.

Large Quantity Discounts

If you have an order with quantities larger than shown on our website, we may be able to give you a large quantity discount. Contact our Customer Service department for assistance. All orders with discounts must be placed directly with Customer Service.

Shopping Cart/Cookies

We use cookies to save your personal information and your shopping cart for later use. Each time you log in to our website, any information saved from a previous visit to our site will be retrieved, including the items left in your shopping cart. This will allow you to spread individual orders over the course of a couple of visits to the site without having to re-enter items into your shopping cart. If you have your cookies shut off or are using a computer with a firewall, you may have difficulty ordering from our website. If this is the case, you will need to check your browser's preferences or use a computer without a firewall.

Processing Fee

Orders subtotaling less than $20.00 are subject to a $10.00 processing fee which will be added to the cost of the applicable shipping and handling charges.

Processing Time

We strive to process all orders within two (2) business days. Custom orders will take two (2) days for processing, plus 1-4 weeks production depending on the items and size of the orders. Production times vary for custom products, so please check with Customer Service if a special deadline is to be met. In most cases, orders containing products with various production times (i.e. both stock and custom awards), the order will be held and shipped when the entire order is complete.

Proofs

Fax and/or product proofs are available upon request. Additional charges may apply.

Rush Orders

Rush service, or "Blitz Scheduling", may be available for special circumstances. Blitz Scheduling describes delivery times faster than normal. Blitz Scheduling may be implemented for faster than normal delivery schedule. Additional Blitz service charges of $10 or 10%, whichever is larger, may be assessed. Check with Customer Service to ensure availability of Blitz Scheduling prior to placing your order. All orders with Blitz Scheduling must be placed directly with Customer Service.

Shipping Time

After the order is processed and produced, it will take 1-5 days shipping time via UPS Ground depending on your location. Please view the map below for estimated shipping time via UPS Ground, or go to www.ups.com for estimated time in transit. Staats offers UPS Next Day Air and UPS 2nd Day Air for your convenience. You can select the shipping method that best fits your needs at the checkout.

Staats generally ships via UPS. We offer three shipping options on-line as outlined in the rate chart below. Please note that UPS requires a physical shipping address, no post office boxes please. Under special circumstances, we may ship via FedEx, or US Mail. Contact our customer service department regarding those options.

Tracking

Once an item is shipped we can track your shipment with UPS, or we can provide you with the UPS tracking number upon request and you can track the shipment yourself at www.ups.com.

Sales Tax Policy

According to Iowa state law, we must charge 7% sales tax on all orders shipping to any location in the state of Iowa, and for orders picked up at our Iowa location. Your shopping cart will reflect all applicable shipping charges at the checkout. If you have a tax exempt certificate, please contact customer service for appropriate credit on your account.

Custom Artwork Formats

We work in a PC environment. Artwork should be black and white line art, preferable in a vector file, such as AI or CDR. However, we will accept good quality bitmap files such as: TIF, BMP or JPEG. Do not use copies of letterhead, business cards, or other stationary. Do not send logos in Microsoft Word documents or zip files. These are poor quality. Make sure image is at least 3" in size and a minimum of 300 dpi. All fonts should be converted to curves/outlines/paths. Color artwork requirements are the same as above. We will reproduce color as close as we can.

Email your file to art@staatsawards.com. Name your logo file your company name or your name. All logos sent should identify your order number in the subject line to avoid delays. If we are unable to use your logo, you will be notified via email. Resend artwork or reply to either cancel your order or proceed without a logo. Staats will not be held responsible if you decide to go ahead with any logo we recommend against usage.

Our in-house experts will place your artwork, along with any text, on your product at their discretion, to provide the appropriate look. If you prefer your award to be laid out in a certain format, please specify on your order, and we will make every attempt to accommodate your request. Final layout of all awards is left to the discretion of the Staats Graphics Department.

Be sure to choose "Custom Logo" in the appropriate options field for each award. If you do not do this, your award will not have your logo on it, even if you email us one. Custom logo die charges may apply for certain items.

Trademarks: Staats assumes that by submitting your logo that you are hereby authorizing us to reproduce it as requested, and you further agree that you have authority to authorize such use. Staats will not be held responsible for any trademark infringements.

Product Images

Images of products shown on our website are for example purposes only. Images and colors viewed on the website may vary slightly from actual.

Returns

All claims for returns must be made within 10 days after the receipt of order. If goods are damaged, or incorrect, we will make every attempt to promptly correct the mistake and send you replacement goods. If you wish to return goods for any reason, authorization must be obtained from Customer Service. Once authorization is obtained from Customer Service, arrangements for returns to our corporate headquarters may be made. Items must be returned in original condition, and a 10% restocking fee may apply to certain items. No returns on custom items. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

Customer Records

Our web server will keep all information from previous online orders placed. You can retrieve that information by simply logging in to our website. All customer records, including orders placed online and directly with Customer Service, are kept on file at our corporate headquarters for three years. Please contact Customer Service if you need this information.
